Oil painting part A

I am a self taught painter and have discovered some tricks to apply the paints easier.
Oil paints can be very thick. You must first apply a very thin layer of ochre on the canvas, mark the outline of your themes and then apply the next ones same way. Thinner liquid is a sensitive issue. I have discovered that the perfect mixture is: 1 part linen oil, 3 parts turpentine and a touch of matt or glossy varnish. Dive you brush in the mix, shake it a little bit to remove extra wetness, then mix it with the paint on your palette.
Clean your brushes well after each use. Oil paint brushes are expensive and delicate. wash them well with white spirit, and dry them with a piece of cloth, then wash them with fabric detergent.

Don't be afraid to try..As Bob Ross used to say "There are no mistakes...Just happy accidents''

Have fun!
